2024 Year End Market Report - Star Valley
Star Valley's Real Estate Boom: Breaking Regional Trends
While neighboring markets in both Teton Counties (Wyoming and Idaho) saw lackluster years, Star Valley defied the odds with a 26.7% surge in transactions—tallying 436 sales in 2024. The valley-wide sales volume jumped 29% to $232.3M, with nearly an even split between homes (208 sales, +23.8%) and vacant land (212 sales, +41.3%).
High-end properties also made waves, with 44 sales over $1M generating 40% of Lincoln County’s total sales volume. Notably, Alpine ($82.2M) and Thayne ($93.5M) outpaced Teton Village ($79.7M) in total sales dollars, showcasing the valley’s rising appeal.
But heading into 2025, low inventory may put the brakes on growth—active listings dropped 8.5% year-over-year. Will demand continue to outpace supply? Stay tuned.
